Cork City, Athchré: Botanical Rebellion was a one day event involving 5 cultural practitioners (2 visual artists, 2 musicians, 1 tattoo artist). 

On a dark winter’s afternoon, days before Christmas, we transformed a community-centric vegetarian Italian restaurant in Cork City into a garden of socially engaged art, sound and taste. Visitors were invited to navigate their way through monstrous carnivorous plants and were encouraged to pick “fruit” that hung from walls and ceilings while enjoying a glass from a menu of organic & natural wines to the sounds of live music and curated playlists.

The art work and flash tattoos were for sale at affordable prices, with profits going to AlQaws, a grass roots organisation supporting queer Palestinians.
